Bison of North America

Posted on 6th July 2015

Bison are the largest animals in North America. They don't do much, only wander and eat so they are pretty easy to photograph in the parks they frequent. Yellowstone, the Tetons and the Black hills to name a few.

Yellowstone recommend staying at least 100 feet from Bison and not to get in thier line of travel to ensure your safety. At around 2000lbs, thats good advice and a heck of a lot of Bison burgers. Of course Bison don't know this rule and will go where they want, when they want.

A telephoto lens therefore is a must to keep you at a safe distance and give the Bison room to move.

Below is a simple click of one such Bison.
