North Atlantic puffins are a great subject to photograph. During the breeding season, with no real fear of humans, they go about the business of raising thier young in burrows.
These are usually in the hillside of a cliff with good access to the fishing grounds, where sand eels are on the menu.
While they are busy with the job of getting back to the burrow with the catch of the day, you can get really close using a medium zoom range lens to capture
up close and personal images of these wonderful birds.
From fishing to gathering nest material.
If you want in flight pictures, it will test your panning skills as they are fast.
Good luck.
